History
Prior to the launch of Advanced Medical Assistant of America in December of 2000 to the Internet a search for a medical assistant website on the world wide web yielded very few results. While there already were many websites created by and for registered nurses, there were virtually none dedicated to medical assistants only! We pride ourselves that we were the fortunate ones to change that.

First Appearances
The Advanced Medical Assistant of America website made its humble debut in December of 2000. The author and registered owner of the domain, a medical assistant herself, recognized the need and secured the very first domains for medical assistants.

Purpose
Provide essential career information and raise awareness of the rewards and challenges of the medical assistant's work.

The Advanced Medical Assistant of America website is the brainchild of Danni R., a certified medical assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants, and a certified clinical and administrative medical assistant (CCMA and CMAA) through the National Healthcareer Association. In this capacity she taught the medical assisting curriculum at well known vocational training institutions, including the Porter and Chester Institute, Branford Hall, and the Ultrasound Diagnostics School in Massachusetts.

Over her tenure as an online instructor and website owner she has generated millions of page views of educational content and has mentored countless aspiring medical assistant students and professionals. She has been honored with several awards, among them the Online Mentor Award, Online Instructor Award, Century Teacher Award , and the prestigious Millennium Educator Award for her unselfish efforts.
